
Relationship Development Grant
Program Description
The Relationship Development Fund will be used to support activities inspired by the CAB workshops that assist in building sustainable relationships that will benefit Aboriginal children, youth and families.
Eligibility
Agencies, organizations or individuals who have participated in a Caring Across the Boundaries workshop are eligible to apply. Applicants must be connected to an organization or agency with legal status to manage project funds.*
Goal
The creation of long-term collaborative initiatives that benefit Aboriginal children, families and communities.
Objectives
- Support sustainable community based collaborations between CAB participants
- Connect with agencies, organizations and individuals in new ways to build, develop, share experiences, stories, & strategies
- Build upon the momentum of the current CAB program to enhance community capacity
- Evaluate the process of relationship building and outcomes of strategic partnerships
Grant Amount
Maximum of $5000
Disbursement of Funds
75% will be disbursed upon the committee's approval of the project
25% will be held until the submission of the final report
Restrictions
Requests for the following will not be accepted
- General administration costs
- Emergency Funds
- Scholarships, bursaries, awards
- Equipment, furniture or other material goods
- Websites
- Partisan political or religious activities
- Individuals
- Sports, recreation, team or club sponsorships
- General fundraising or campaigns
- Staff salaries

Describe your strategy to manage this project. Include your organization or agency capacity in decision-making, problem solving and financial management as well as for your partner organizations. - Project Goals, Objectives & Outcomes
A detailed description of your project goals, objectives and outcomes and how your organizational mandate/vision will assist in this endeavour as well as how it meets the objectives of the Caring Across the Boundaries workshop. - 2 Letters of Support
- Sustainability
A detailed description on how the Relationship Development Fund will be used as part of a broader process of resource acquisition both human and financial for long-term sustainability of the joint initiative. - Evaluation Strategy
What tools will you use to evaluate how this project will benefit the community, your agency and your partnerships? Include the tools and documentation process you will use to evaluate the program. Add attachments where possible. - Audited Financial Statements
Audited Financial Statements will be required upon submission of the funding proposal request and at the end of the fiscal year when the project was completed.

- Proposal should not be submitted in binders, duo-tangs or report covers, etc.
- Do not staple the proposal, use a paper clip
- Number all pages
- If you choose to write it, print or write neatly in black ink
We will not accept the following:
- Invoices
- Annual reports/publications
- News articles
- Photographs, videos, cassettes
- Books, magazines, or newsletters
Application process
- Submit 1 copy of the proposal by Post including an electronic copy on CD in Word format.
- Letters of Acknowledgement will be sent upon receipt of an application
- An independent panel of representatives from the First Nations, Voluntary Sector and Philanthropic communities will review the proposals
- Letters of Approval/Denial will be sent to all applicants*
