Commitments

At the First Nations Child and Family Caring Society we understand that the factors influencing the risks faced by Aboriginal families are complex but like our Elders we believe that the best response to a complex situation is often a simple answer. As a national organization, FNCFCS can assist by making a broad range of resources available for communities to draw upon to implement their own best solutions - this includes the resources of the voluntary sector. By providing communities with equal access to social service resources significant progress can be made in reducing the risks faced by Aboriginal children on and off reserve.

First Nations Child and Family Caring Society will provide the following:
Financial Support
All costs must be approved prior to the workshop by FNCFCS
A. Cost of facility
B. Honorariums (Elders & community facilitator)
C. Coffee breaks & lunch for the event (We support the use of local and if possible, youth- run catering services)
